Caviar Guide: Types, Texture and Serving
Caviar is sturgeon roe. The experience changes with species, maturity, pearl size, texture, salinity and service temperature.
Beluga
Beluga is known for generous round pearls and a soft, rich mouthfeel. Caspiar’s Imperial selection focuses on larger pearls over 3 mm.
Baerii
Baerii comes from Siberian sturgeon and offers a more aromatic, fine-spiced profile with a clean finish.
Serving and format
Serve caviar cold and follow the storage instructions on the pack. Choose 30–50 g for a smaller tasting, and larger formats for hospitality, events or a shared table.
